Smoke Gets in Your Rye
- 1 oz Bulleit Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz Pacific Foods Barista Series Coconut Plant-Based Beverage
- 1 oz Townshend Smoke Tea Spirit
- .75 oz Turkish Apricot Syrup -see instructions below
- 1 dash cardamom bitters
- Turkish Apricot Syrup
- 1/2 cup demerara sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 oz dried Turkish apricots (chopped)
Step 1Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker.
Step 2Add ice, just below liquid volume. Shake, approximately 40 seconds. Double strain into rocks glass over big cube.
Step 3Garnish with orange twist.
Turkish Apricot Syrup
Step 4Combine all ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Steep 1 hour.
Step 5Strain and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
