Ingredients

  • Beverage
  • 1.5 oz Aka Kirishima Shochu
  • 1 oz Pacific Foods Barista Series Soy Plant-Based Beverage
  • .25 oz lemongrass syrup -see instructions below
  • .25 oz saffron syrup -see instructions below
  • 2 dashes grapefruit bitters
  • Lemongrass Syrup
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stalk lemongrass (chopped)
  • Saffron Syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp saffron strands

Instructions

Beverage
  1. Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  2. Step 2
    Dry shake, approximately 10 seconds. Add ice to cover liquid. Shake, approximately 30 seconds. Double strain into coupe glass.
  3. Step 3
    Garnish with 4 drops of Angostura Bitters.
Lemongrass Syrup
  1. Step 4
    Combine all ingredients and simmer for 25 minutes.
  2. Step 5
    Remove from heat. Steep 1 hour, then strain and refrigerate. Syrup will keep for 7 days.
