Whiskey Oat Punch
- 2 oz Bulleit Rye Whiskey
- 3 oz Barista Series Oat Plant-Based Beverage
- 3/4 oz Vanilla Simple Syrup -see instructions below
- garnish with freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
- Vanilla Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup demerara sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 vanilla bean (split)
Step 1Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and top liquid volume with ice.
Step 2Shake for approximately 40 seconds
Step 3Double strain into rocks glass over a big ice cube. Or you can serve in a coupe glass without ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Vanilla Simple Syrup
Step 4Combine all ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Step 5Remove from heat and steep for 1 hour.
Step 6Strain and refrigerate. This syrup will keep for up to 7 days refrigerated.
