Matcha or Hojicha Concentrate

Makes 42 servings of 12 oz. beverages


  • 6 tsp teaspoons of unsweetened matcha or hojicha powder For best results, use fresh matcha. Ideally the concentrate should be deep jade green. Whether culinary grade or ceremonial grade, fresh matcha will be more vibrant in color and flavor.
  • 18 oz ambient water


  1. Step 1
    Place ambient water into blender carafe.
  2. Step 2
    Add matcha or hojicha powder.
  3. Step 3
    Blend on low speed until frothy and powder is incorporated.
  4. Step 4
    Pour into an airtight bottle.
  5. Step 5
    Shake well before use.
  6. Step 6
    Keep refrigerated. Discard any unused tea concentrate at end of day.
  7. Step 7
    Transfer into airtight container. Keep refrigerated for 3-5 days.
